Days (and Nights) of Our Lives

Evil twins, love affairs and dramatic cliffhangers are the stuff of which TV soaps are made. But for those who can’t stand waiting until the next day, and the next day, to see how the plot unfolds, Edmonton’s Die-Nasty improv troupe has the fix. Every fall, the group performs a 50-hour live Soapathon at the Varscona Theatre. Each performance has a theme, but the real entertainment lies in how audience suggestions are enacted — and where the storyline goes once sleep deprivation sets in. Single-entry passes are available, but for the best experience, buy a weekend pass, which allows you to come and go as you please. Slip into your PJs and hunker down for a weekend of madness and melodrama, Friday September 12 straight through until Sunday September 14, 9pm.
